HELD UNDER THE GENERAL COMPETITION RULES OF THE MOTOR CYCLE UNION OF IRELAND LTD. AND THESE SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS.
1.The trial will be held
over a number of laps of a circuit. On each lap the competition will be required
to negotiate a number of observed sections.
The number of laps will be stated
before the start.
2. Marks will be as follows: Clean passage - nil
marks, 1 dab - 1 mark, 2dabs - 2 marks, more than 2 dabs - 3 marks, failure in
section - 5 marks.
A dab shall mean touching the ground with any part of the
body. THE OBSERVERS DECISION IS FINAL.
3. Punch card method of recording
marks lost will be used.
4. Sections will be indicated by coloured
markers placed in pairs. Blue will denote the lefthand boundaryof the section
and Red the righthand.
White markers will indicate the finish of the section
and yellow the start. Competitors must pass between such markers. Front spindle
IN, front spindle OUT method of marking will be used. The onus of following the
correct course rests with the competitor, but all the sections must be attempted
in the correct order.
5. No practising, either on or before the day
of the event will be permited. Any competitor found doing so will be disqualified.
6. Machines to be fitted with standard tyres not exceeding 4 cross section
and unaltered in any way.
7. All competitors must be in possession
of a current competition licence, which must be available for inspection.
8. Helmets as per M.C.U.I. regulations must be worn.
9. In
the event of a tie, the competitor with the most cleans will be the winner. If
the tie still exists the most 'ones', then the mostn 'twos' will be taken into
account.
10. Any competitor injured in this event (excluding Juniors)
may claim benevolent fund by submitting a form obtained from the club secretary
within 14 days of the event.
11. A Junior event will run concurrently.
12. AWARDS -(May be reduced if insufficient entry in class)
