Used Trials
Bikes and Equipment for Sale
The Lightweight Motorcycle Club has set up
a free classified website Used
Trials Bikes where Trials Riders can sell
their Bikes and Equipment within Northern
Ireland. Motorcycle Trials in Northern Ireland
is a small community which needs to grow larger.
As the LMCC continue to promote the sport
through larger and better publicised events,
we also want to make it easier for the newcomers
to the sport to pick up the bikes and equipment
they need to get started. Please also visit
our new training section which gives a lot
more info on the sport and also how to get
started. In order to post your equipment for
sale on our classifieds site Used Trials Bikes
please follow the following instructions.
Posting Adverts
for Sale or Wanted
1. Visit Used
Trials Bikes and Click the link on the
top menu to Post
Ads.
2. This page will will ask you for your contact
details with an option to have your address
displayed in the advert.
3. Next it will also ask you to fill in which
category you wish you Bike or Equipment to appear
in. The categories are fairly self explanatory.
4. There are some additional option;
Caption Header : this is whether this is a For
Sale or a Wanted advert you are posting.
Caption : the Title of your Advert, e.g. 2005
Sherco 290.
Text for Ad : the description of your Bike or
Equipment, 200 word limit. Dont forget the price!
Password : password so you can access and amend
or delete your ad later.
Ad Duration : 30, 60 or 90 Days which is how
long the advert will run before deletion.
Join mailing list : so you can be kept up to
day on new adverts on classifieds.
5. Click Preview and this will show you exactly
what your advert will look like when live on
the site. If you are unhappy with it, click
on the Go Back button or click "Back"
on your browser and make the necessary changes.
If you are satisfied you have given an accurate
description of your used bike or equipment,
then click Post your Ad. It will then be uploaded
to the classifieds site.
6. You can then go on and view your advert.
Your advert can be renewed up to 3 times on
the site after the prescribed time stated in
your advert set-up. You will be sent an email
to confirm your advert being posted.
Modifying or
Removing Adverts
1. If you need to edit, renew or delete your
adverts, click on the Edit
Ads link on the top navigation bar. Click
on either the Modify/Renew Ad button or the
Delete Ad button depending which you require.
2. You will be asked for the Advert number
and your password. These details will be found
in the email which was sent to you automatically.
3. The Modify/Renew window is very similar
to the post advert window, except you have preview
of your advert already present for you. Simply
change the necessary details or click the Renew
Check box at the bottom to extend your advert
again. Then click Submit Modifications.
4. If you wish to delete your advert, hopefully
because you have sold your bike or equipment
due to our classified section, click the Delete
This Ad button and your advert will be removed
permanently from the database.
If you experience any problems at any stage
please do not hesitate to contact us and we
will amend the problem immediately. Also, if
you feel there is a section which we should
include, please also let us know and we can
have it up and running very quickly if we also
